Today I am grateful for open gates that invite the sun to peek through the branches of the trees. I am grateful for the invitation in, the invitation welcoming me to look at all the doors, and gates in my life, some open, some shut.
Today I am grateful for paths. Paths that lead up and down and through my life. Sometimes there IS a closed door, sometimes I just need to walk up and open it. I am grateful for the chance to learn how to do that, to LEARN how to ask for what I want.
I am very grateful for these boots and these baskets. They carried a lot this weekend, through bundles and bungles in Parenting. Carrying me and my load at the Farmer's Market & at home. The baskets are New, the boots are Old.
Today I am grateful for Unidentifiable Berries and Odd Shaped Fruit on bushes in gardens along my way. They must be some sort of Berries for Birds and sweet Fruit Treats for other small creatures. They may not smell as sweet as flowers but they certainly made me stop and look at them to ponder what they could possibly be.
I am grateful for time & inspiration and quiet moments of creativity.
And like any mum, anywhere in the world, I am grateful for my children, for my band of merry men. For all their challenges and for all their love. I am grateful for the chance to BE with them on this journey. For the blessing and honor to be their Mom.

Beautiful post, I am grateful for too many things to list, I would overload your comments section! Thank you for your visit!
ReplyDeletethank you for your visit! grateful that you have a list that is too long and lovely. so besotted. xxoo
DeleteWhat a beautiful post. It's always good to stop and think every now and again about the things we are grateful for. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the most average of days and grumble about the silly things. I'm going to take a pause tomorrow and try and remember your words.
ReplyDeleteNina x
Thanks Nina. I have the hardest time pausing most days to remember that I should be thankful. :-) xo
DeleteWe all have so much to be grateful for when we stop and reflect on it.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely post.
Such a lovely post! Made me stop and think about pathways in my world and the adventuers they've led me on. I'm grateful for having a whisker of time to put my feet up, and and abundance of delicious food. Hope your week is a beautiful one :) x
ReplyDeletelove those whiskers of time! so nice to sneak in something just for your self. xo
DeleteThere are so many things to be grateful for isn't there if we just slow down and look closely. I have been writing down something that I am grateful for each night in my diary, remembering that even if the day didn't go well there was always something to be grateful for. I love your boots and baskets too:) xx
ReplyDeletelove the idea of intentional gratefulness every night! What a perfect resolution to have. sometimes it IS hard to remember something good, especially when all you want to do is go to sleep so you can start over in the morning. xo
DeleteA Beautiful Post, Rebecca. Thanks so much for sharing it. I am grateful for the little white flowers on the trees these days, they remind me of cherry blossoms. I am so grateful for the warm sunshine we enjoy here. And most of all, grateful for friends, family, and health. Thank you for reminding me to appreciate these things. Have a wonderful day. Mudita
ReplyDeletethanks Mudita! Hope your week is going well. xo
DeleteI love this post Becca! Natedogg encouraged me to start writing down 10 things per day that I am grateful for, without repeating one item,. It was a challenge! We did it for a year and I can honestly say it improved my attitude significantly. Thanks for helping us all remember!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! 354 days x 10 things per day= a whole lotta love and gratitude! xo
DeleteNice to stumble upon your posts. Love your description of the mayhem that leaving the house can be. And with the best intentions - children are so present in the now- those intentions can go astray.
ReplyDeleteso glad you stopped by! Children do their best to make us remember and forget gratitude at the same time!
