fodder+folly

follies of the week:
-not speaking up when I should.
-speaking out when I shouldn't.
-mistaking other peoples' baggage as my own.
-food stuck on forgotten dishes in the sink.
-up too late at night.
-forgetting to buy coffee beans.
-overdue library books.

fodder of the week:
-the sweet woman who insisted that the youngest
take home flowers for his mom from her garden.
-friends near and far.
-giggling children.
-laughing so, so hard.
-impromptu dance party in the kitchen.
-art-ing around a bit, messing with camera techniques
(ahem to the weird photos on the post today).
-the early morning chatter of birds
and the soft sound of sprinklers.

for the weekend:
-hiking with the boys.
-lounging in old sweats.
-reading aloud.
-setting up the tent for fun and grilling pizza.
-pretending to ignore laundry.

Any follies from your week? Any provender for the soul you would like to share?
What is in the works for you this weekend? I would love to know. xxoo

  1. There will be lots of hands in clay, prepping for art camp, making a list for a dream trip overseas, walking in the woods and laying out sleeping bags for ten (choke) yes, ten, eleven year old boys for my son's birthday sleepover. Did I mention there will be lots of coffee? XO Happy weekend sweet girl XO

  2. This weekend will be finally getting those tomato plants in some dirt, knitting in dappled sunlight, baking a batch of weekend cookies, taking my camera for a walk, reading to the little ones under the canopy of fluttering leaves and maybe even taking a nap!

Love this place you have here. I'm inspired by your words, honesty and lovely photography.

    Happy weekend to you!

  6. A lovely day today, surprise meeting with an artist I am a huge fan of, and getting to spend some time with her while she helped me and my boys to sketch insects. Planning a picnic at a favourite park at the weekend with a little rowing on the boating lake there. Three boys in a boat...
