I would come home into our small squeezed out space in this world
and watch you asleep in your bed, breathing in and out.
You were so so small.
My heart ached at all this smallness asleep in the dark of the night.
I tucked your fallen covers around you; took the book that you had fallen asleep with from you;
kissed you and told you how much you stamped my soul with meaning;
made me who I was always meant to be:
your mother.

can't quite believe that it is June. June 1st. It doesn't seem possible!!
lovely blog portraits from last week:
oh unbelievable romance and sweetness in these two captures at little brown wren; loved these two double images of her girls by Catherine at A Time To Create; the mood, the atmosphere, the love in these two portraits at Christina Lowry Design; and you can really tell that it is almost winter in the southern hemisphere with the way the light has changed in Jodi's photographs at Che&Fidel. Just beautiful; and Anna's sweet daughter at Fields of Sage.
what a week it has been! xxoo
I love your words on this post - exactly how I feel as a mother. The photos are beautiful - the colors vibrant.
